Former Chelsea star expresses sympathy for Man Utd's Casemiro, saying he feels sorry for him.

Former Chelsea player Craig Burley expressed sympathy for Manchester United midfielder Casemiro following their 3-0 Premier League defeat to Liverpool on Sunday. Casemiro, who was substituted by manager Erik ten Hag at halftime, was blamed for the first two goals conceded by United at Old Trafford. He was replaced by academy graduate Toby Collyer.

Before being taken off, the Brazilian faced jeers from frustrated home fans, and the criticism continued on social media after the match.

Speaking on ESPN FC, Burley commented that he felt sorry for Casemiro, noting that Ten Hag, rather than the player, is the problem at Manchester United. "I felt sorry for Casemiro because you could see he was embarrassed when the camera focused on him," Burley said. "He’s set high standards throughout his career, and now he’s struggling. But this is a Manchester United issue, an Erik ten Hag issue."
