AFCON 2025 Qualifier: Awoniyi Assures Super Eagles Will Not Disappoint Again

Taiwo Awoniyi has expressed confidence that the Super Eagles will deliver strong performances in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

The Super Eagles have struggled recently, securing only one win in their last five matches.

In their last encounter with Benin Republic in June, the three-time African champions suffered a 2-1 defeat. However, Awoniyi emphasized that the team is prepared for a successful outcome in the upcoming games.

"Football is our profession, and we are committed to giving our best," Awoniyi shared with AdemolaVictorTV. "I want to reassure Nigerians to continue supporting us."

The Super Eagles will face Benin on Saturday in Uyo before heading to Kigali for their match against Rwanda on Tuesday.
