Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes Manchester City is poised to win the Premier League title this season.

Speaking on Monday Night Football after the completion of the Match Day 1 fixtures, Carragher shared his insights. City began their title defense with a 2-0 victory at Chelsea, while Arsenal secured a similar 2-0 win at home against Wolves.

Carragher noted, “Man City went to Chelsea, and despite the challenges of playing at Stamford Bridge with their big-name players, they secured the win."

He also commented on Arsenal, highlighting that no team in Premier League history has improved their position for five consecutive years, while Arsenal has done so for four years in a row. Carragher acknowledged that surpassing last season's performance would be a tough challenge for Arsenal.

In addition, Carragher predicted that Liverpool and Tottenham would finish in third and fourth place, respectively.
