Euro 2024: Mourinho offers predictions about Cristiano Ronaldo's future

Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho has expressed confidence that Cristiano Ronaldo will score goals and play a key role for Portugal in the upcoming Euro 2024 in Germany.

Ronaldo is preparing for his 11th major tournament, having first played for Portugal in Euro 2004.

The 39-year-old forward recently completed an impressive season in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr, scoring 50 goals in 51 matches. Despite his excellent form, Ronaldo faces strong competition for a starting position in Portugal’s lineup from players like Liverpool’s Diogo Jota, PSG’s Goncalo Ramos, and Joao Felix, who was on loan at Barcelona last season.

Discussing the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star, Mourinho told RTP, “Cristiano knows how he feels, what his goals are, and how the coach plans to use him, whether to play every minute of every game or protect him at key moments. He has significant influence and will score his goals. I don’t believe he will leave the European Championship without goals.”
