Casemiro Denounces Pundits' Harsh Criticism

Manchester United's Casemiro has expressed his discontent with the severe criticism he has received this season, labeling it as "disrespectful."

The Brazilian midfielder feels that the recent remarks from critics have gone too far, resulting in a loss of respect from his side.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Casemiro mentioned that last season he was highly regarded as one of the top signings. This season, however, his performance hasn't matched his previous form, drawing strong criticism from pundits.

“By the end of last season, the team was performing well and receiving a lot of positive comments,” Casemiro stated. “So, what changed? Last season I was one of the best Premier League signings, and now I'm considered worthless?”

He added, “This criticism is lacking respect. When it becomes disrespectful, it’s worrisome, and I don't feel obligated to respect that. Criticism is a part of football, especially after playing for a long time, but when respect is absent, it’s a different matter.”

Casemiro's remarks shed light on the impact of harsh and disrespectful criticism on players, emphasizing the importance of maintaining respect and constructiveness in feedback within the sport.
