Spain defender Marc Cucurella has expressed his preference for England star Cole Palmer to remain on the bench during their Euro 2024 final clash on Sunday. Cucurella and Palmer are teammates at Chelsea.

Palmer made a significant impact as a substitute in England’s semi-final 2-1 victory over the Netherlands, providing the assist for Ollie Watkins’ 90th-minute winner.

“I spoke with him over a week ago. We talked for a while in the previous rounds,” Cucurella told Mundo Deportivo. “For me, it’s much better if he doesn’t play and stays on the bench.”
