Why Ancelotti says Real Madrid will decline FIFA's invitation to the Club World Cup/p>

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has stated that the LaLiga giants will not participate in FIFA’s expanded Club World Cup next season.

The tournament is scheduled to be held in the United States at the end of next season, featuring a total of 32 invited teams from around the world.

Ancelotti, who led Real Madrid to victories in both La Liga and the Champions League this season, mentioned that FIFA offered approximately €20 million for their participation. However, he noted that Real Madrid is not the only team planning to decline FIFA’s offer.

“FIFA overlooks the fact that teams will not participate in the new Club World Cup. One Real Madrid match alone is worth €20 million, and FIFA is offering that amount for the entire tournament. We will reject the invitation,” Ancelotti told Il Giornale.
