Mbappe describes joining Real Madrid as "a dream come true.

Kylian Mbappe expressed on Tuesday that joining Real Madrid is "a dream come true," following the club's announcement of their agreement with the French star.

The 25-year-old World Cup winner moves from Paris Saint-Germain to a Madrid team rich in talent and fresh off their latest European victory— their sixth in ten seasons. On June 1st, Madrid secured their 15th European title by defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Champions League final at Wembley in London.

Mbappe spoke at the Stade Saint-Symphorien in Metz, just before France's friendly match against Luxembourg.

He made a statement but did not take questions.

As the national team captain, Mbappe emphasized that he wanted to keep the focus on the squad as they prepare for the upcoming European Championship in Germany.

"It's official— I'll be a Real Madrid player for at least the next five years," he said. "It's an immense pleasure, a dream come true, filled with many emotions. I'm incredibly happy, relieved, and extremely proud to join the club where I've always dreamed of playing."

"I'd also like to extend my gratitude to everyone who contributed to this complex operation. Special thanks go to everyone at Real Madrid who worked tirelessly, especially the president, Florentino Perez, who has believed in me from the start."
